About the event

In addition to being the city of "firsts", Philadelphia can proudly boast about dozens of women born or lived in the city who left an indelible mark across the pages of history. From pioneers in education, to innovators and inventors in the life sciences, to more musical talent you can shake a stick at, as well as countless political and historical figures that left their mark on the city, the region, and the country, locals can stand up and proudly share our love for these badass women and their accomplishments. This 5 Mile walking tour of Old City and surrounding areas of Center City will cover the lives and achievements of more than twenty famous women who once called Philadelphia home. Join us as we SEEK out the stories of these fabulous ladies, EXPLORE their contributions to society, and WANDER around the streets of Philadelphia learning about these badass women!

Put on those walking shoes, grab a bottle of water, and bring a friend or two!
