About the event
DESCRIPTION
- THIS IS HEAVEN, WEST VIRGINIA. Welcome to the world famous Gauley River. Consistently rated as the second best whitewater rafting in the entire USA and the best river east of the Mississippi, this is a world class experience that's only an 8 hour drive away.
- Join us for an amazing, life-changing, and never-to-be-forgotten experience. You will remember this for the rest of your lives! Think I'm kidding? Whitewater guides from all over the USA leave their rivers for 6-7 weeks in September & October and head to WV to lead boats down the mighty Gauley. Tourists and whitewater enthusiasts from all over the world come here as well. This river is known the world over and you will remember the names of the rapids by the time the river has had its way with you.
- This is the perfect opportunity for folks looking to do this once in a lifetime (or once a year for someone like me) adventure as we have options to ease into things with an easier trip on Saturday on the Lower stretch of the river (still class 4 & 5 rapids) before everyone jumps onto the mighty Upper Gauley on Sunday. (This is the stretch that will leave you either crying or begging for more!) Please see the options below and reach out with questions, concerns, fears, etc. I've personally taken dozens of people with little to no whitewater experience before and everyone has lived and everyone has had the trip of a lifetime. I also use the company with the best, most experienced guides!!!
