About the event

DESCRIPTION

History calls it the "Great American Experiment", we call it the democracy in which we live. Regardless of its name, the nation born from the American Revolutionary War was a result of many decisions, actions, and heroics right here in Philadelphia. They don't call it the "birthplace of freedom" for nothing after all. Join us as we walk in the footsteps of the Founding Fathers of the United States, trace the evolution of the American Revolution, and learn about the role that the city of Philadelphia played during the formative years of our country. We will SEEK the complex, often complicated origins of the revolution as we EXPLORE historic buildings and sites that played a part in birthing a new nation as we WANDER about the best preserved colonial city in America and contemplate the legacy left to us by those who dared to say "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all....are created equal".

Put on those walking shoes, grab a bottle of water and a snack, and bring a friend or two!
